Experience: I am person centred teacher who believes is an art form which requires patience, dedication and focus. I very much adopt the attitude of not one size fits all and that we must adapt and nurture to enable learning.

I am a professional with a Joint Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Music. I was a violin teacher for 20 years and learnt the art of teaching adults and children delivering bespoke lessons. I taught children all the way through their schooling from the age of 6-18 and prepared them for their ABRSM exams as well as teaching them a whole range of skills. Some of my pupils were awarded scholarships to the prestigious Chethams School of Music.

I have also taught English (as a foreign language) and French (as a foreign language) throughout the years. I am also half French and bi-lingual. I speak French fluently as a native. I have spent half my life back and forth to France and spent many years there in my teens attending a school in Brittany. At the age of 18 I went to Spain and learnt how to speak Spanish in three months (much to the amazement of everyone around me!). I developed a unique way of learning a language and still apply this method to this day.

In 2008 I retrained and was awarded a diploma (level 5) with A Merit in Gemmology. A science based subject covering optics, chemistry, physics, crystallography, mineralogy and geology. I have been immersed in the science of precious stones and have been a working gemologist for 15 years.
