Nicoletta holds a first-class degree Modern Languages (French
and English) from the Milan University. She teaches French and
Italian to GCSE level and A Level.
Her teaching style aims to boost her students confidence by
tailoring very effective and personalised lessons whilst inspiring
the students to achieve their goals. She encourages her pupils to
think independently and devises strategies to apply to a variety of questions rather than only sticking to a textbook.
Nicoletta establishes a very good relationship with the student
which is fundamental to understand their own learning needs and
adapt her teaching style.

For the past few months, I have been preparing an Italian student for the admission at Goldsmiths helping her draft her Personal Statement and preparing for the IELTS test.
I have also tutored a Sixth-form student for a French Language and Literature interview for Oxford admission. My tutoring focused on her personal statement initially and fine-tuning this for submission.
Tutoring then progressed to looking at more complex contents in French literature and ensuring that the student came across well at interview. The interview preparation focused on relaxing student in high-pressure environments and understanding the best way of structuring argument and directing conversation. The tuition was mainly focused on reviewing the books she selected for her personal statement and general revision of Modern French literature. I also made sure that she had a very broad perspective of French literary movements from the Humanism to the Theatre of the Absurd. She has received an offer from Oxford University.
