Information about Marina
Hi, I’m Marina and I am a Structural Engineer working at a design consultancy. I graduated with a Masters in Civil Engineering MEng Hons from Cardiff University in 2016 and I completed my A-levels at St Dominic`s Sixth Form, Harrow where I studied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Fine Art. I attained 10 A*-A`s in my GCSEs which included Mathematics, Sciences, English Literature and English Language.
I am a STEM Ambassador (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for STEMNet where I work with local schools and colleges to develop and deliver inspiring and interesting STEM programmes to students. Through STEMNet I have worked with pupils as young as 5 years old up to ages 18 (A-Level).
I tutor in my spare time and my main teaching expertise is in Mathematics and Sciences. I am confident in boosting my students` ability in solving complex problems starting from first principles.

Experience: I have been tutoring KS3-GCSE students for over 7 years and A-level and Undergraduate students for over 3 years. My main focus is to ensure that the student is confident with each topic before moving on to the next, working from first principles so that any problem can be tackled. I ensure that my students are making meaningful progress and are well prepared and confident in time for their exams, taking into account other priorities and commitments.

Marina is a fantastic maths tutor, she is very organised, patient, and has good teaching skills, having studied gcse maths after so many years, I found myself back on track since I`ve been tutoring with her, she is always there when I need help and she is quick at replying to my messages... :)

Marina has recently started teaching my daughter and preparing her for her 11+. We are very happy with her so far, she has a very bubbly personality and is patient in explaining things. She has already started developing a lovely rapport with my daughter which I believe is crucial in aiding understanding and knowledge building. I love the fact that Marina is very proactive and called our chosen schools for details regarding their exams. She has fully bought in to our objective and I`m hopeful for a long and successful relationship with her.

Marina has been an excellent tutor. Her response time is very fast, and her help is thoroughly appreciated. She has helped me complete a University coursework assignment I struggled with for several months. In a very short time period, with Marina`s help, I have been able to submit my coursework (even though I contacted Marina very close to my deadline). She has been helpful in providing me with several tutoring options, whether it be online lessons, or one-to-one sessions at home. She`s very experienced with AutoCAD software, and has been more help than my University lecturers throughout the year, for this module. I`d highly recommending contacting her if you require help with any of the subjects she is offering to teach.
