Information about Marina
Hi, I’m Marina and I am a Structural Engineer working at a design consultancy. I graduated with a Masters in Civil Engineering MEng Hons from Cardiff University in 2016 and I completed my A-levels at St Dominic`s Sixth Form, Harrow where I studied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Fine Art. I attained 10 A*-A`s in my GCSEs which included Mathematics, Sciences, English Literature and English Language.
I am a STEM Ambassador (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for STEMNet where I work with local schools and colleges to develop and deliver inspiring and interesting STEM programmes to students. Through STEMNet I have worked with pupils as young as 5 years old up to ages 18 (A-Level).
I tutor in my spare time and my main teaching expertise is in Mathematics and Sciences. I am confident in boosting my students` ability in solving complex problems starting from first principles.

Experience: I have been tutoring KS3-GCSE students for over 7 years and A-level and Undergraduate students for over 3 years. My main focus is to ensure that the student is confident with each topic before moving on to the next, working from first principles so that any problem can be tackled. I ensure that my students are making meaningful progress and are well prepared and confident in time for their exams, taking into account other priorities and commitments.
