Experience: One-to-one tutoring can truly accelerate learning and I have witnessed first hand the positive effects it can have not only in terms of academic improvement but also in confidence and self-esteem. I`ve conducted over 2000 hours of tuition lessons and have assisted children from age 5 to 16 in maths, science and admissions.
Over the past several years of tutoring I have focused on working with students who find some or many aspects of maths challenging. Through one-to-one tutoring, students can learn at a pace that suits them and they have the opportunity to ask questions they may not be able to ask at school. I work with students through the KS2/KS3/GCSE maths syllabus - highlighting topics which are more tricky and focusing on these areas. I can offer alternative methods to answering questions and help break down topics in a much more accessible way. Lessons are always tailored to the student - to their current ability level and the ways in which they are able to understand different areas of the subject. My aim is to help students build their confidence with maths and in turn this will improve their grades.
