I am a friendly and patient teacher, with a record of outstanding teaching in English. I am also responsible for literacy across the curriculm at my current school, meaning that I am always researching and implementing the most current and innovative strategies in order to engage and facilitate excellent learning and progress in the school children that I teach.

I achieved a 2:1 degree in English Literature at Cardiff University and have since worked with special needs children of all ages, before going on to teach English Language and Literature in Secondary Schools.

I am also an experienced examiner for a popular English examination board, therefore I know certain examinations inside out and I am able to use that knowledge and experience to inform my teaching, much to the benefit of my students.

I have also recently achieved a Masters in Education degree.

I can offer tutoring for any age group (including adults) in the following subjects: KS3, GCSE, AS and A Level English Language and English Literature, with GCSE being my specialism.

I have a current CRB check.

I am aware that everyone has a preferred learning style and I will to tailor my tutoring in order to work with students to help them gain confidence and achieve their full potential.

I endeavour to make work interesting and exciting whilst providing high quality teaching and ensuring rapid progress.

I love my job as a teacher and tutoring is a fantastic extension of that.

Experience: I am 33, and a qualified English Teacher, currently teaching in a Stourbridge secondary school, with 12 years teaching experience. I have privately tutored for the past 10 years with a fantastically high rate of success.

I have experience of teaching a range of abilities and ages. I am also a subject mentor for student teachers on their PGCE teacher training course.

I have also taught CoPe (Certificate of personal effectiveness).
