**I am currently not taking on any more students for 2017**


I thoroughly enjoy working with students on a 1:1 basis. Typically I only take on ~ 10 students per year.

I also do team and personal development consultancy work as well as leadership development.

I adapt my methods to each student to provide a bespoke approach. I have experience of working with people with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Aspergers.

By nature I am calm and encouraging.

I have been involved in science outreach work and was a Science and Engineering Ambassador for SETNET. Science can be fun!.

My method is working through problems and exam papers together rather than "teaching", in this way students are actively engaged in their own learning. Through this we find gaps in knowledge and can quickly target areas for study.

I have been told that I am a good motivator and help people fulfill their potential. All my students show significant grade enhancement, sometimes from U to A!

Availability: Daytime and early evening during the week and on Saturdays. In the run up to exams I do Sundays as well.

If I am traveling far I may ask for a consideration for petrol / travel time

Experience: I am an ex Senior Lecturer in Physical Chemistry from Imperial College (13 years). I was departmental Senior Tutor there responsible for the entire tutorial system.

I have been tutoring AS and A2 Physics and Chemistry privately for over five years. I have experience of AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards for both of these and of AP for Chemistry. I also help with UCAS applications having had an admissions role at IC.
