Information about Drew

Hi,

I`m Drew and I`m the Founder of an online language tuition academy. I still teach as languages are my passion - I speak fluent English, Spanish, French, Gujarati and conversational Italian. I specialise in Spanish (KS3, GCSE, A Level, adult and Business) and English (adult and Business).

My exam students consistently achieve 9-7 GCSE grades and A*-B grades. I`m a regular speaker in schools discussing topics such as careers, languages and entrepreneurship. I write for educational publications and sites such as WIRED and School Guide, and contribute to BBC radio on career and language-related issues.

With my Business English and Spanish clients, I’ve worked with Amazon, Disney, Sky, the BBC, Premiership Football Clubs, HBO, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and FTSE 100 companies.

KS3/GCSE tuition:
Generally speaking, students encounter problems when it comes to developing their ideas and expressing their opinions in the language using sophisticated grammar and vocabulary. Typical problems areas are expanding sentences, verb tenses, vocabulary, writing questions, oral exam confidence and grammar. Students will revise all core modules of reading, writing, speaking and listening with special emphasis placed on past exam paper practice.
I tutor across all examination boards including AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, Cambridge, Eduqas and IB.

A level tuition:
My students consistently achieve A*-A grades and get into their top-choice universities, including Cambridge, Exeter, Bristol, Bath, Cardiff and more. Generally speaking, students encounter problems when it comes to developing their ideas and expressing their opinions using higher level verbs, grammar and vocabulary. I follow the appropriate syllabus of the exam board and teach reading, writing, speaking and listening. I use online textbooks and study guides for texts and films, my own worksheets, past papers and listening materials and a database of interactive authentic exam questions. I also offer mock exams.
I tutor across all examination boards including AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, Cambridge, Eduqas and IB.

Business English and Spanish:
I offer Spanish lessons and also English lessons for Hispanic natives. All sectors are covered, with a speciality in insurance/finance, tech, sales, marketing, travel, media, business and government.
Lessons will focus on terminology used in typical business scenarios including email communication, participating in and giving presentations, video conferences, financial reporting, competitor analysis, forecasting and budgets, LinkedIn updates, news articles, industry magazines, projects, business trips and culture.
Lessons are supplemented with authentic audio, video and speaking activities so that you reach fluency quicker by putting sentences together, asking questions and understanding answers.
Of course, all skillsets of reading, writing, speaking and accent reduction, listening, grammar, verbs and vocabulary will be studied.

Timetable:
I offer flexible time slots in the daytime, evenings and some weekends. Most students book a fixed weekly slot but you can book on an ad-hoc basis too. You can have as many classes per week as you like and pause when you need to.

Free Assessment:
I offer a free 30-minute session to allow me to pinpoint your main areas of focus and to discuss the class format, timetable, prices and FAQs.

Thanks,

Drew

Ms.Drew has been nothing but the finest tutor to my daughter studying GCSE Spanish. Without her excellent tips and meticulous attention towards the students progression my daughter would not be feeling as confident in her Spanish as she is now. I would definitely recommend her prestigious help and knowledge to anyone eager enough to learn from her. Mrs Khan
