I am a fully qualified teacher who is enthusiastic about children`s learning, having taught in all years from Nursery to Year 6. I am currently an SEN Teaching Assistant of 6 years, with additional experience being an HLTA. I have also been nominated for the National Teaching Assistant of the Year Award. I particularly enjoy active and cross-curricular methods of teaching and learning. I can offer children a rewarding learning experience through a range of methods, resources, and incentives. I am currently developing my teaching practice as a 1:1 TA for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health barriers, and I am specialist in Autism and ADHD. I have been a private tutor for the last 6 years, including the more recent government scheme within schools. All but one of my students who have taken entrance exams, 11+ and SATs have passed with good grades.

As stated earlier, I like to make learning both fun and rewarding. Each session is rewarded with a small prize to reward effort and utilizes a range of learning techniques from online learning to drama to traditional written methods. My aim is to not only help your child learn, but give them the tools with which to learn independently in the future and boost confidence in themselves as learners, and as people.

Experience: I am a primary teacher with 8 years experience. I graduated Manchester Metropolitan University with a 2:1 in Primary Education. I have many years of experience working with a range of year groups in primary schools, most recently as a Year 3 teacher and previously Year 5 and Year 3 in which all my students met or exceeded their predicted grades. I have 6 years experience in all year groups from Nursery to Year 6 through supply and as a TA/HLTA. As an HLTA I taught classes in years 1,3,4,5, and 6. I have also worked as a tutor in a popular local tuition center which has earned many awards. I have done 1-2-1 tutoring for a number of years now with all my students making outstanding progress and all bar one passing their exams. During Covid, I did online tutoring as well as supported my school on Google Classrooms. In addition, I was leading a `lockdown school` class of essential workers children in a mixed class of Nursery and Reception. I have been nominated for the National Teaching Assistant of the Year Award and am a specialist in Autism and ADHD, currently developing a specialism in SEMH and Behavior barriers to learning.
