I recently graduated from the University of Oxford, having completed a BA in History.

I am currently studying for a Masters (M.Phil.) in Early Modern History at Trinity College, Dublin.

I have recent experience of tutoring for GCSE English Language and English Literature, GCSE History, A Level History, A Level Music, A Level Politics, KS3 French, KS3 Maths, 11+ English and ab initio Latin and Spanish.

In my lessons, I aim to make everything as clear as possible by stripping away complex jargon and reinforcing first principles. I have found that this approach not only helps students better understand the content of their subject but also aids them in how to answer exam questions: for once they very clearly understand the material of the subject, the assessment objectives for the exam, and techniques for answering the questions in the most effective manner, the exam questions become much easier to answer.

My specialist subjects are History, English, Music, in which I have A Levels at A*AA grades, and French, in which I have an AS Level A grade.

I also have GCSE/IGCSE A* qualifications in Maths, Latin, Biology and Spanish and so would also be able to provide tuition in these.

Having recently undergone them myself, I can aid preparation for university interviews in any humanities subject.

I am a kind, patient, friendly, diligent, organised, reliable and knowledgeable tutor, with experience in tutoring and in teaching children in small groups in school.

I intend to pursue a career in teaching.
