Information about Natalia

Hi! I’m looking for a student (absolute beginner), who would like to take an e-learning course of Russian.

FORMAT
It’s a by-correspondence course. A student learns the material (‘lectures’ and audio recordings) sent by the instructor through email, does practical exercises (completes exercises, prepares short audio recordings / voice messages), and sends them back to the teacher for checking. The teacher checks the tasks, makes the necessary notes and forwards them to the student.
ADVANTAGES
Good for a student who has a busy schedule, prefers not to stay ‘glued’ to Skype for an hour at a fixed time, and likes self-studying. A student chooses individual pace and load. The courses are short.
REQUIREMENTS
A student must be an absolute beginner and an English speaker.

At the moment there are 3 courses available:
1. “Introduction into Basic Russian” – a course of Russian pronunciation lessons. Although the course is focused on sounds, learners will get the most necessary initial knowledge of grammar and acquire initial reading skills. The course will provide firm background necessary for students to further learn any other basic course of Russian at their option.
2. “Practical Russian: My first six steps” is for beginners who have already completed the introductory pronunciation course. It provides detailed explanation and covers the most important basic things needed for further independent studies. Step by step the learner will accumulate the necessary amount of vocabulary units, get good reading skills, acquire the rudiments of grammar and get the initial idea of word formation. The course will provide firm background necessary for students to further learn any other basic course of Russian at their option.
3. “Practical Russian: Steps Seven to Ten” is a follow-up to the course “Practical Russian: My first six steps”. The material for studying is delivered in the same manner. The course will provide firm background necessary for students to further learn any other basic course of Russian at their option.

The duration of each course may vary depending on a pace preferred by a learner.

Availability: Morning and day-time (not strict).

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: Teaching ESL to Russian speakers for 20 years.
