Information about Charlotte
I am 26 and currently working as an assistant psychologist. I have completed a Masters in Psychiatry and a degree in Psychology (BPS accredited) and have a thorough knowledge in Psychology, alongside other subjects.
I have previous experience of working as a support worker and I have volunteered for two charities working with children and young adults to help with various classes such as healthy eating, improving self esteem, positive body image, healthy relationships, etc. I enjoy teaching and working with people and believe that anybody can achieve and be successful with the right support and guidance.
My approach to tutoring is by working with the individual at a pace suitable to them and with their needs in mind. I believe that the best way to learn is by enjoying yourself, and I use a number of different techniques with my teaching including visual aids which is in line with this. I have a number of different methods to help remember information which is very useful for preparing for exams. I have also completed courses on coaching and mentoring, and improving self confidence which I feel is a very important aspect of any learning. This positive approach helps the students to believe they are capable and can do anything they set their mind to.

Experience: I have volunteered at a school in Vietnam helping to teach disadvantaged minority Vietnamese children and adults who had no previous schooling. This involved working with a range of students at all different levels on subjects such as English and Mathematics. I have also helped a number of university students with reading through and marking their essays with suggestions for improvement, including dyslexic students. This involves subject specific comments and English and grammatical errors. I am currently tutoring students.
