Information about Florrie
I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford with primary, secondary and university level teaching experience. I have always loved teaching and I am proud to be able to witness the progress and success of different students.
I strive to create a fun, relaxed learning environment which inspires students to identify and reach their true potential. Of course, the structure of each lesson will vary depending on the goals and skill set of each student as well as their personality; encouraging an enthusiasm for learning is key. The first lesson will therefore be some time to get to know the student, establishing their interests and capabilities, and the course will be adapted accordingly - input from the school and family will be welcomed.

Experience: I have many years of tutoring experience, both in-person and online, and I have been proud to witness my students improve their academic achievements and build their confidence. With my guidance, many of my students have increased their projected GCSE grades, while others have achieved offers from prestigious schools and universities.
I have previously taught English as a foreign language in Chile to Year 10 students at Liceo Industrial Migue Aylwin Gajardo as well as to university students at the Universidad Chileno-Británica de Cultura. During my time at Oxford I served as the Vice President of Exeter College Vacation Project, where I was responsible for the organisation of the charity and the holiday that it offered, as well as training the staff and overseeing the care and safeguarding of the children.
Prior to my university experience I have acted as a teaching assistant at a primary school, a nursery volunteer, and a one-on-one tutor for students with a low level of literacy at a local secondary school.
