Based in Central Bedfordshire, UK, I am a veteran HE academic with fifteen years experience across three UK universities (Hertfordshire, Kingston and Richmond), specialising in Contextual Studies in Creative Arts.

A graduate of King Alfred’s College, Winchester (now Winchester University) in 1996 and The London School of Journalism in 1998, I achieved a PgCert in Higher Education Teaching from University of Hertfordshire in 2018, alongside Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

I specialise in the following subjects: Film, Journalism, Pop Culture, Animation, Comics, Superheroes, Film Music, Literature.

My primary speciality is Academic Writing, with a particular focus on undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, with over 500 projects supervised. I was the lead Contextual Studies academic for UH`s award-winning Digital Animation programme and have significant experience of multiple assessment formats (written essays, video essays, literature reviews, technical reports, presentations, iMaps et al) as well as a keen understanding of academic protocols.
