Naoko

Hello and welcome! I`m Naoko, currently in my 4th year living and working in London. I`m from Tokyo, fluent in Japanese and English. I`m hugely into arts, history and culture - with an MA in Cultural Heritage Studies at UCL. Currently work as cultural insight analyst at Tokyoesque, a market research agency.

I`ve always taught English on the side - I currently teach 3 students:
1. one a part-time language student at SOAS who just passed N5 after 3 months of classes with me
2. one ex-JET fellow of 4 years in Tokyo (He`s very fluent now and going for N1) and
3. a father of 2 daughters just starting to learn Japanese from scratch as he wants to be able to read Murakami one day!

So I`m used to teaching all levels and I enjoy all of it.

I prefer to teach at my coworking office in the City, near mansion house and cannon street. Lunch hours (11:00-14:00) or evening (17:00-21:00) works. Otherwise, I can teach in Hackney Central / East London area depending on the day.
