Oliver

Hello there!

My name is Oliver and I am 21 years old and I am in my 4th year of Dental School at the University of Manchester.

I am a friendly and enthusiastic person, and more than willing to help my peers achieve their aspirations in Mathematics and Science. I can also provide help with applications to Dentistry in the UK, as I am aware this is an extremely daunting process.

I am well acquainted with the challenges of our education system and having sat the GCSE and A level examinations in the last 5 years, my knowledge is up to date and applicable to the current methods of assessment.

I have always been a visual learner, and my teaching style I believe is best suited to students who share this characteristic.

So, what makes me qualified to teach? Throughout my years at University I have been a Peer Mentor for those entering the first year of my degree. I guide them through the early years and provide academic aid. I have also provided lectures for Head and Neck Anatomy with over 60 students attending! I am a confident and charismatic teacher and I hope my students will develop through this. Throughout my time at Sixth Form I acted as the Lead Ambassador for my school in Mathematics, and this involved tutoring the younger years in the subject.

My lessons follow a standard approach. A student will inform me what they wish to cover in a forthcoming session, I will then devise a lesson plan. I will also create a series of questions to present at the end of a session to ensure the teaching has been well received.

Experience: I have been tutoring for 1 year now, across a range of subjects from Mathematics to Chemistry, Biology and Physics. I able to at the KS3 and GCSE levels in these subjects. I am available for online and Face-to-face tuiton.
