I am a highly experienced English teacher, leader, and examiner with over 20 years in education. Since beginning my career in 2004, I have taught English Language and Literature across all secondary key stages and built a strong record of excellent exam results. I have been a Head of English, Assistant Headteacher, and Deputy Headteacher, and I now lead on curriculum design and development for a large multi-academy trust. Alongside these leadership roles, I have worked as an examiner for nearly 20 years and as a Senior Examiner for over 5 years, giving me detailed insight into the exam process and how to secure success. As a private tutor, I specialise in GCSE English Language and Literature, helping students to build confidence, refine their writing, and achieve or exceed their target grades.

Availability: Dependent on student requirements, but evening and weekends.

I offer short-term and ad hoc sessions and offer feedback packages, where I will mark exam responses and give detailed feedback and follow-up support.

I can offer online lessons via Zoom or Teams.
