Information about Deborah

Welcome, and thank you for looking at my profile page!

I`m an experienced and qualified tutor with a First-class Honours BA and an MA in English. My empathic and flexible style of tuition reflects my care and commitment to the success of my students.

After two decades of working in the public sector as a politics graduate and the director of a project management consultancy, I returned to higher education to follow a lifelong passion for English literature.

I have Enhanced DBS clearance and am a quality-assured member of Qualified Tutor.

Availability: Sunday to Thursday.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: The majority of my students see their confidence soar and their academic performance excel.

In the final 2023 GCSE exams:

40% of my students improved their results by four or five grades.
60% were awarded grades 7 to 9; half of these attained an astounding.
100% of the students who had feared they would not pass accomplished grades of either 4 or 5.

During each session of one-to-one tutoring, I will:

- tailor each lesson to the precise needs of each student
- nurture confidence in any challenging areas
- accommodate any areas of learning difficulty
- deliver an engaging and bespoke lesson
- demonstrate patience and commitment
