Hello everyone!

I`m Oli, a young philosophy graduate and Spanish speaker. I offer tutoring services in Spanish, Philosophy and English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding towns in West Kent.

I`m very friendly and easy to get on with. I have a good sense of humour and enjoy meeting new people. I`ve lived in Madrid for 2 years, Nicaragua for 4 months and Brighton for 4 years.

I like playing basketball, reading, going out with friends and playing guitar.

Experience: *English as a Foreign Language (EFL):*
I have just returned from living in Madrid for two years, where I taught adults and teenagers English as a Foreign Language in a prestigious academy (American Language Academy) and privately in one-to-one classes.

I have passed the intensive CELTA course, ran by the University of Cambridge. This is the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

I have worked at Bede`s Summer School for two years running, teaching children aged between 11-16. The standards are very high in this summer school, with all lesson plans checked and signed off by senior teachers, after suggested improvements.


*Spanish:*
In May this year I successfully passed the Advanced Spanish exam, DELE C1, issued by Instituto Cervantes. This is an internationally recognised standard of Spanish. With the high calibre required by Instituto Cervantes through this exam, and the teaching experience I have more generally, I am well equipped to tutor children and adults in Spanish.


*Philosophy:*
I have a 2:1 in Philosophy from the University of Sussex.

Before moving to Madrid, I taught philosophy to two children of 11 and 12 years, encouraging them to critically engage with various philosophical questions and to develop and defend their own opinions. I did this for one year.

I regularly read philosophy and am well-versed in the main topics covered in GCSE and A Level Philosophy in the UK.
