I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic and ambitious individual with a strong commitment to make a positive difference to children’s lives through education. My desire to become a positive role model for young children and impart my knowledge and love of learning to help shape the next generation, led me to complete the (BA Hons) Primary Education with English Language QTS. Once completed, I chose to become a supply teacher working with children from EYFS – KS2. Teaching in different schools, including multi-faith schools and across different key stages consistently has broadened my understanding of progression. It has also improved my ability to plan lessons for different ability groups and for individual children based on their needs. It has given me the opportunity to create more opportunities for assessment with younger children that enhances future learning.
Using my strong curriculum knowledge, I ensure that the Teachers’ Standards are met through appropriate planning, assessment and consistent reflection and evaluation of the children’s work. In my teaching and practice, I always aim to establish a safe and stimulating environment where the children feel motivated to learn. Within my classroom, I work towards providing an atmosphere where children are eager to discover new concepts, investigate new ideas and feel confident in asking questions.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have reflected upon the key aspects that make a school and teacher outstanding. I have come to the conclusion that in order for effective teaching to take place, there should be a duality of shaping pupils to become successful citizens by focusing on their well-being and academic success. The best way I believe this can be achieved is by teaching a broad and balanced curriculum and by ensuring productive use of assessment is made.

Availability: I am available weekdays 5pm onward and weekends after 12pm. I can be flexible with my time.

Experience: I am a qualified primary school teacher with a specialism in English Language. I graduated from Liverpool Hope university in July 2018. Since then, I have worked as a full time supply teacher on both short and long terms contracts across many schools. I have worked with children from all ages and backgrounds from EYFS to KS2. As a personal home tutor, I focus on Maths and English with a strong focus on SATS for upper stage KS2 children. For lower stage KS2/SK1/EYFS, I focus on phonics, reading, writing, Maths and English. I make my lessons (even tutoring at home) very engaging and interactive and practical as I would in the school classroom environment.
