I am a writer of fiction who has recently relocated to the town of Yarm after living and studying in Hampshire for most of my life. I have a BA Hons in Literature and Film studies and a Masters in Literature and Cultural studies. I have been accepted to study my PHD in cultural memory but due to life commitments have deferred my commencement date for a year. I am married, I love reading and watching films and feel I am a very happy and friendly personality that helps me click with most people.

Availability: I am very flexible with my times and willing to work around any scheduling conflicts or prior commitments that you may be having.

Experience: I have a TEFL qualification and University level and have also worked as a learning supply assistant for over 5 years. Since graduating from my Masters degree I have been home tutoring students across a range of literature, media and communication based issues. I have worked in summer youth groups as a volunteer for the past 6 years and have a very natural and happy rapour with both the students and there families. in my role as Tutor I am happy to travel to students` homes, libraries, or schools to conduct tutoring sessions in order to help them in their studies of both English language and literature. I will schedule tutoring appointments with either the students or their parents and keep a weekly diary of all meetings and correspondence. Providing homework tasks and feedback to students while using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in them. My aim is to make lessons accessible and fun in order to encourage students to want to learn more.
