I have been a private tutor for over 6 years in both London and Bristol (as of 2015). I first started preparing students for 11+ entrance exams and GCSE’s whilst working for a multinational award-winning tutoring agency and then set up privately in 2017.

Since March 2020 I have been offering my students online tuition via Microsoft teams and IPEVO visualiser. These tools coupled with my wealth of tutoring experience have proven to be very effective in supporting students with their educational needs. I also have a tailor-made space in my home to accommodate 1-2-1 tuition. Note that I only take on 2-3 students per academic year due to family commitments. This in turn has benefits for my students as I can dedicate more time into their individual needs.

My tutoring style is tailored around each child I support. In addition to the tuition, I also engage with students by providing some mentorship to help them with their choices, whether it be choosing A level subjects, work experience and decisions for university and apprenticeship programmes.

My primary occupation involves working as an Engineer in the energy industry. If your child is interested in pursuing a STEM career, then I can provide additional support to guide them in that direction.

What I will provide as standard:

- Initial assessment to identify knowledge gaps

- Structured lessons working to the pace of the student

- Homework following each lesson

- Mock exam/assessment/topic test/exam preparation

- Monthly progress reports

- Mentoring

Availability: My availability varies since I do not update this section regularly. Generally speaking, I would be available most evenings, from 6 pm on-wards and weekends.

Experience: I have obtained a 1st class engineering degree from a Russell Group University. I take a logical approach to learning, focusing equally on both the technique and subject matter.

I choose to begin by understanding the students approach to learning and help create an easy way in which they can pick up information easily.

I aim to teach the student a technique of tackling exams so that they take full advantage of the marks available.
