Information about Zara

I am a recently qualified Doctor, having graduated from Imperial College London in 2020 with 7 distinctions and a merit. I am dedicated to helping my students achieve their maximum potential.

I also attained First Class Honours in my intercalated BSc(Hons) degree in Medical Sciences with Endocrinology. I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at Nonsuch High School in 2014.

I’m lively, enthusiastic and easy-going, and I love working with people of all ages! I aim to tutor my students by providing lessons that are tailored to their individual needs, and by equipping a wide range of teaching styles and resources.

I structure my lessons using the specifications set by exam boards and/or the learning aims outlined in the national curriculum to maximise my students` academic potential and ensure they gain the highest possible grades in their examinations.

Availability: Evenings and weekends.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have a lot of experience in tutoring children and young adults, having done so for almost 7 years now. During this time, I have not only tutored others, but received tuition myself in various other subjects, thus I am aware of many different teaching styles and what makes a good tutor.

Furthermore, I am a senior Clincal Communication tutor for 1st and 2nd year medical students at [contact detail removed], as well as a medical OSCE and PACES examinations tutor. I was previously vice-president of SIMA, a London-wide association dedicated to supporting and guiding students in their applications to medical and dental school.

Zara has been an amazing tutor for me, she’s helped me so much with my BMAT preparation, especially in sections 1&3! The lessons are always tailored to what would help me the most with has proved to be really useful and I always feel comfortable to ask any questions. She has also helped me improve my knowledge of medical ethics significantly which is really useful for the essay! Very pleased :) Sanjuhaa

Zara is a great tutor and a great support to my daughter,The 1-1 lessons have been so useful in her understanding and she thoroughly works on her weaknesses. She brings a range of techniques & gives a lot of practice questions to help her out. Also, she is reliable and friendly but is clear about her expectations.I would highly recommend her.
