I specialise in teaching Maths, English, Business Studies and French to young people between 7 and 16 years old. I have extensive experience of preparing students for the 7+, 11+ and 14+ Entrance examinations. I also teach adults.

Students and parents consistently give me enthusiastic feedback both on my competence in the subjects and on my caring approach to each individual.

I offer an approach to young people and adults where they feel encouraged and able to achieve the very best in their academic studies.Very often a word of encouragement and a quiet chat where the young person person feels listened to is enough to release their ability in the academic subject where up till then they have experienced problems.

Availability: I am available weekdays and evenings.

Experience: I spent many years abroad in various roles in Education, including as Principal of a Secondary School in Uganda, setting up and directing adult education centres in Sudan, and teaching both young people and adults in various countries of Africa and Europe.

Since 1997 I have been tutoring privately in the UK.
