Information about Ellie
I am an experienced and passionate Primary School Teacher and Maths Specialist with QTS and full DBS assurance. I have a proven track record of high-quality lessons for all abilities. My lessons are fun, engaging and connected to real life contexts in order to support childrens mastery of concepts. I recently completed my Senior Leadership Qualification (NPQSL) and have enjoyed supporting other teachers to develop teaching and learning outcomes across the primary age range.
I am a warm, bubbly teacher who will ensure that your child develops confidence and a deeper understanding of Maths and/or English in line with the National Curriculum. I use songs, games and practical equipment to support key concepts. I can offer support with exams, including the 11+, and provide a range of past papers to work through. My lessons are engaging and memorable - making connections is the best way to learn!

Ellie is a very friendly, patient and supportive tutor - our 10 year old daughter felt immediately at ease with her, which really helped her settle into the lessons quickly. Ellie`s "warm ups" are fun and engaging, and the work she set`s challenges our daughter at just the right level. Ellie is very encouraging and recognises and acknowledges good work, supporting our daughters enthusiasm. Since starting, our daughter now feels more confident with her algebra, active and passive progressives and decimal divisions (among others). Overall, we can emphatically recommend Ellie as a tutor and are really pleased with her achievements to date. Thanks!
