Information about Kirsten

I live with my husband in Somerset and enjoy theatre, film, music, dancing and socialising. I practice yoga and meditation and deliver Yoga Nidra at my school to children and staff. I enjoy reading spiritual and life affirming books and am interested in politics, education, wellbeing and have an obsession with word games.
I have an active interest in comedy sketch writing and performing as Maxwell& with my comedy partner. We have an array of comical characters and have a digital presence on social media and a spot in the Bath Comedy Festival this Spring.
I have been doing extra and modelling work for ten years and have been in Wolf Hall, Agatha Raisin, Sex Education amongst other shows as well as still and moving adverts.
I love relaxing, walking my dog and visiting galleries and beauty spots. I am a very cheerful and optimistic individual and have boundless energy. My dream is to set up my own small school delivering the arts, yoga and counselling.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I am an experienced drama teacher and workshop coordinator of 25 years specialising in GSCE and A Level Drama and Theatre Studies. I also have eight years experience of teaching BTEC Performing Arts.
I have directed numerous student plays such as Punk Rock by Simon Stephen’s, Arabian Nights by Dominic Cooke and No Exit by Jean Paul Satre. I specialise in A Level set texts, That Face by Polly Stenham and Lysistrata by Aristophanes and GCSE text DNA by Dennis Kelly.
My specialist practitioners are Brecht, Stanislavski and Artuad and recently I helped an undergraduate English student with their Brecht presentation resulting in a 1st. I would like to continue this offer for undergraduates studying practitioners as well as GCSE and A Level drama students who need extra help and support.
I have worked with Anna Friend from Quirky Bird Theatre and we produced an online DNA teaching resource for DNA and sell it to Drama teachers and students which is proving successful and useful with excellent reviews.
I aim to make more resources and enjoy making teaching videos and practical resources currently in development.
I have worked with Shakespeare for Schools and ClickView on a digital Macbeth English Literature resource that is used globally contributing to the content and presenting it with an actor. I run weekly Shakespeare workshops at my school as an after school club and have directed Macbeth and The Tempest with SSF of which I am an ambassador.
