I am an English Literature graduate, interested in sociology, history, media studies and creative writing. I am highly enthusiastic, and will personalise each session to the students requirements.

Experience: Since 2009 I have been aiding students with their 11 plus tests, through both teaching material and helping students through practice papers so that they have the knowledge and confidence to pass their exam.

Since 2014 I have been tutoring students in their GCSEs, with my focus being on English Literature, English Language and Maths. I have been tutoring A-level students in English Literature, History and Sociology since 2016. As with the 11 plus, I combine teaching and supplementing knowledge gained from school with practice papers, short tests and examples of essay writing.

In English tutoring I focus on analytical skills, critical thinking and essay writing as my main topics, though the weighting of the tutoring of course depends on the students needs and capabilities.

In Maths tutoring, I use practice papers/tests and listening to the student to see which aspects of the course they require supplementation for and then tailor my teaching to them.

In all of my subjects, I aim to personalise the experience to the student, see which methods work best for them and then do everything possible to get them in a position where they feel ready and confident in the subject and for their exams.
