Information about Grace
I am passionate, highly experienced and approachable tutor. My education background (PhD from Reading University, MSc and PGCE from Oxford University), qualifications (QTS, AMBDA, APC) and experience of teaching in leading independent schools such as Wellington College have been important in ensuring that the students I tutor are successful in achieving their academic goals. I work hard to ensure that the students I tutor enjoy the sessions and get the most out of each session.
I am a specialist in supporting students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties, and I am fully qualified to carry out formal diagnostic assessments for dyslexia and other special educational needs.
Availability: Online and in person at my home
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I am a specialist teacher of Dyslexia and reading difficulties (with Approved Teacher Status from the British Dyslexia Association & Level 5 & 7). I can carry out full diagnostic assessments with pupils and assessments for exam access arrangements (AMBDA & APC). I have a PhD from the University of Reading (focusing on reading comprehension difficulties). I also have a postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs from Reading University and I am a qualified coach.
