Information about Emilie

Hi, I`m a Classics teacher with experience of teaching Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation to GCSE and A-level.

I think Classics is one of the most fascinating subjects out there and I enjoy sharing my excitement for the subject with students, regardless of their level or exposure to the subject.

Discussions are central to my teaching and I think a relaxed atmosphere is important in making sure my students are comfortable and interested in learning. I have experience in teaching Latin and Classical Civilisation to GCSE and A-level, as well as Classical Greek to GCSE, and I would be equally comfortable teaching beginners or adult learners.

Availability: Weekdays after school and evenings.
Occasional Saturday/ Sunday afternoons.

Willing to travel: 12 miles

Experience: I have 7 years full-time teaching in two different schools in Berkshire/ Kent.

Within Classical Civilisation, I have taught modules on Homer`s Odyssey, Homer`s Iliad, Virgil`s Aeneid, Greek tragedy, Greek Art and Architecture, and Augustus and the Foundation of the Principate.

I`m also an examiner for OCR.
