My favourite field of study is English Language and Literature. I really enjoy teaching it. I have a younger brother who was failing in all his GCSE mock English language and literature mock exams. I tutored him to help him get a good grade when he left highs school. From then on, I have shared my knowledge and passion with others. I know how to make the subject almost exciting for those who hate it and I appreciate that everyone does not learn the same way, or if you love English and just want to get the best grade you can, come along too!
Maths never came to me easy when I was in high school. I got an A in GCSE Maths but in my mock exam I got a D! I had to do a lot of extra work myself because the teaching style my teachers used just did not resonate with me. Therefore, I use a range of tools including, mind map, lists and ven diagrams to help you remember key points. So that when you are doing the exam trying to strain to remember everything you have crammed in your mind, you will be able to visualise some of the tools you use. Research has shown that using different methods to explain the same point means you are more likely to remember it. I am a psychology graduate, so I like to keep up to date with tools to improve my tutoring skills.
I also completed the triple sciences in my GCSE`s. I specifically enjoy biology. Human biology was also a huge part of my Psychology degree at university. So, I can give you that extra competitive edge to excel in the sciences.
