I am a qualified teacher with MSC (Biology) and PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education). I have 20 years of teaching experience in a prestigious Grammar School.

During my teaching career I have been responsible for:

* Teaching GCSE and A Level Biology

* Revision workshops for preparing pupils to achieve their highest potential in exam

I have been a private tutor for a few years. In these years I have;

* Tutored `A Level` pupils from local colleges and schools

* Coached pupils taking exam privately

* Taught pupils taking `Online A Level exam in Biology`

* I teach AQA, OCR, WJEC and Edexcel syllabi.

I am a full time tutor and offer long-term tutoring to keep the continuity throughout the academic year.

I tailor my lessons to the learning needs of each individual student.
Some students struggle to grasp the basic concepts whereas others just need help converting their knowledge into effective answers. Therefore I work through the specifications with each student, to ensure the basics are learnt before moving on to the more complicated concepts.

We concentrate on exam technique using specific past questions.
In addition to topic-specific revision, I also help students to develop study and exam skills and am happy to assist with revision planning and technique, essay writing skills, practical skill revision and mathematical skills for biologists.

I encourage students to contact me via e-mail if they have any problems or concerns in between lessons. I am also happy to mark essays and past papers in my own time, with feedback given via e-mail or during the next lesson.

I am very patient and friendly. My tutoring sessions are relaxed and enjoyable, as i believe that students are most productive when they enjoy their lessons.
