Hello my name is Chloe and I am a medical student & medical sciences graduate. I offer Biology and Chemistry lessons at GCSE and A-Level, Anatomy/Physiology teaching to university level as well as personal statement/UKCAT/ BMAT/ GAMSAT and medicine interview help. I was extremely successful in my post raduate medicine application, achieving almost full marks in the UKCAT, BMAT and an average of 75 in the GAMSAT. Additionally, I gained interviews and offers for 3/4 Universities I applied to and assist in medicine interviews and provide preparation to school leavers too in my local area.

I teach biology topics across the GCSE and A level syllabus including cell biology, microscopy, enzymes, human anatomy and physiology, plant biology, immunology and infection, homeostasis, genetics, evolution and ecology. This can be from the official syllabus, earlier levels of education, other schoolwork/homework or higher education anatomy/physiology.
Prior to commencing tutoring sessions I think its essential to arrange an initial discussion to see what my student feels is the best way to facilitate their learning and which topics they would like to cover in particular. To be an effective tutor I believe it is very important to tailor the sessions to the individual needs of the client.

I base the lesson plan upon what the student feels they need to focus on the most and ensure it is organised based upon their curriculum and exam board specifications. I also ensure that as well as understanding the content they are able to apply this to exam questions in the way that allows them to obtain the maximum amount of marks. I often prepare resources such as notes, flash cards, mind maps or presentations depending on what works best for each student, as well as accompanying exam questions.

I also help A level and undergraduate students applying to medicine/biomedical sciences in writing their personal statements/preparing for UKCAT, since I know very well how tricky these can be!

I offer lessons in and around central London, Surrey and Hampshire and online for other regions.

Availability: I am available to tutor online and face to face tutoring in the evenings during the week and on weekends.

Experience: I am an Exeter University Medical Science graduate where I obtained top marks and I am now studying at the University of Southampton and am in my third year. I will be based in hospitals in and around West London. During my time at Exeter I was a NICE student champion and led weekly teaching sessions to medical students on evidence based medicine. Additionally, I ran `Getting into Medicine` workshops for school children.

Throughout my time at Southampton I have assisted with interviews onto the medicine program and am a scholar for the Healthcare Leadership Academy.
