With over 10 years combined classroom and tutoring experience, I specialise in preparing children for the 11+ entrance exams. My approach is calm, structured, and confidence-building, helping pupils master exam techniques, develop strong reasoning skills, and perform at their best under timed conditions. I have successfully supported pupils in gaining places at top independent schools in West Yorkshire and London, guiding them through the full process with confidence and clarity.

I hold a degree in Natural Sciences (BSc Hons) from Durham University, along with a PGCE from the University of Leeds with Master’s credits, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This training, along with my classroom teaching experience, has given me a strong understanding of how children learn and how to support them effectively.

I provide targeted support in:

English: comprehension, vocabulary development, spelling, punctuation and grammar
Maths: arithmetic fluency, problem-solving, multi-step reasoning
Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning: strategies, pattern recognition, speed and accuracy
Exam Technique: timing, question analysis, resilience, and practice-paper preparation
