My subject specialisms are English and Media Studies (KS3-5). I have experience as a classroom teacher, workshop leader and tutor providing one-to-one and small group sessions both online and face to face.

I love bringing learning to life, sparking interest and helping the development of critical and creative faculties with a range of texts and multimedia. Enriched by my three years as a full-time journalist and five years at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, I use discussion, problem solving and practical approaches to explore classic and modern literature and language use. I have also trained in working with SEN, coaching and mentoring and Mental Health First Aid. My academic qualifications include an MA in Educational Leadership from the University of Warwick, and a BA from the University of Cambridge.

Experience: -English teacher, Literacy Lead and Head of Media Studies. I also ran Film Club and a student newspaper and was a professional mentor to other teachers.

-Learning Projects Manager at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, using drama games, storytelling, clowning and puppetry to help young people explore, interpret, play with and communicate ideas. I also partnered with exam boards to provide training and resources for teachers.
