Qualified Primary School teacher with a BSc (QTS)
Mixture of teaching experience in mainstream schools and home teaching. I have led Gifted and Talented throughout Key Stages 1 and 2 alongside boosting for the KS2 SATs with a very high level of success among my pupils.

Availability: All day Wednesday and Friday

Weekday evenings (4pm-8pm)

Experience: I am a qualified primary school teacher and have 23 years teaching experience .

I have taught in mainstream primary schools throughout KS1 and KS2 classrooms. I have the experience of working with a wide range of children`s abilities and helping them to overcome any barriers to learning.
In 2010 I started to teach booster lessons for the KS2 SATS . Within these lessons I have found ways to develop the children`s confidence and help them believe in their own academic ability.I have prepared pupils for end of year KS2 SATS in Maths,Grammar and Writing. The children who I have taught made good progress.
More recently I have home taught children with a range of different special educational needs who are unable to attend school on a regular basis.
I am co-opted governor where I am responsible for SEN and child protection. I have also been a parent volunteer to help with KS2 boosting sessions .

Tutoring approach-
My approach to private tutoring is tailored to meet the individual pupil. I focus on their strengths and help them to gain confidence allowing strong foundations that can then be built upon for future learning. I take into account a child`s personality alongside their needs
