Hello :)

I have a first class BA in English Literature from Warwick University, and a Distinction in Modern and Contemporary Literature and Culture from St Andrews. I also achieved A in English at A Level, and A.A* for GCSE. Hopefully I have some wisdom to impart! After graduating, I worked as an editor in academic publishing, both in books and journals publishing. For the last several years I have worked at some of the top universities (including London School of Economics where I`m currently at), both in student support roles and managerial roles, so I`m also happy to talk through any university plans and career aspirations.

Outside of my day job, I keep my passion for literature alive as a member of a book club, and I do yoga and dance.

I am based in Greenwich, but happy to travel to South East London / East London if preferred.

Experience: I am a relatively new tutor, and this is reflected in my rates, but I am committed to excellence.

I have spent a lot of time volunteering with schools, on various activities like reading partners and work experience and internship programmes (to name just a couple) and always have found that young people respond well to me. I was a shy child myself, so I understand how to bring out the best in everyone, even if they are a bit reticent initially!

Also, working at a university through COVID, and implementing the transition to online learning, I am pretty clued up on how best to deliver classes online.
