My aim is to raise a pupil`s confidence, their grades and give them a sense of achievement. I fervently believe that progress is related to each individual. A 4/5 in maths at GCSE so your teenager can do the college course they want is just as important as getting AAA at A’ Level to get into Oxford or Cambridge.

I specifically help students with SEN and long-term chronic illnesses such as epilepsy; M.E. / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome; those recovering from Glandular Fever; Fibromyalgia and Long Covid. All these conditions affect concentration, processing, memory and create "brain fog". Schools are overstretched and, in my experience, struggle to deal with these specific conditions successfully. This could mean your son or daughter, who maybe at school part-time, may well feel more isolated as they cannot keep up in class. Or you might be worried about them getting an education at all because they are too ill to go into school. I can help with this. I too have a chronic disability, which is in remission, however it makes me uniquely placed to help those who find themselves facing similar challenges.

I am a qualified teacher with several different degrees. I hope that that demonstrates that those with chronic health problems can be successful academically. My undergraduate studies included history, psychology and biological science and I have a post-graduate qualification in classical civilisation. This means I can teach more than one subject including English, history, maths (foundation level) and combined science at G.C. S.E and at A` Level psychology, English, classical civilisation and history.
