I am a licensed Primary School Teacher with QTS, and also a TEFL certified teacher of English. My 10 years of experience teaching Primary and Early Years, and 3 years experience teaching online means you and your child are in safe, experienced hands.

English comprehension is crucial in order for your child to be able to access knowledge in the rest of the curriculum; to communicate well with others and to be confident in each area of their school career. Many children and adults feel self-doubt or fear over their lack of confidence in English, which can hold them back academically, socially and even cause emotional distress.

I specialise in primary English, Literacy, Phonics, and teaching English to non-native speakers (ESL), including adult learners. I have 10 years of experience with learners from 2 - 60+ years of age! It`s never too late to start and you WILL be able to make fast progress with me.

I will help you gain confidence in, and love for, speaking, writing and reading English!

You will learn in a safe, encouraging, progressive and FUN atmosphere where you are motivated to progress fast and actually enjoy the learning process.

Face to face lessons: These will consist of writing, reading, speaking, listening and comprehension tasks, using a variety of resources such as age-appropriate worksheets, reading books, school books, and incorporating your child`s interests and current school curriculum.

Online lessons: During 3 years of teaching online I have tested and chosen the very best digital platforms and tools available to enable effective and enjoyable lessons on Zoom. Your child is guaranteed to enjoy learning with me and they I assure you that they will love my interactive, exciting and fun lessons!

You will receive personalised lessons, planned and tailored just for your child following my assessment of you or your child`s areas of weakness- for example: phonics, reading, writing, speaking, comprehension, spelling, grammar etc. You will receive feedback after each lesson and regular updates on you or your child`s progress.


We will have a mixture of face to face talking to practice oral skills, questioning, recalling etc; written work; auditory practice and phonics; grammar and sentence structure; reading practice using storybooks and interactive books; quizzes, games; assignments and fun tasks.


For adult learners, I use a mixture of conversation practice; reading tasks; audio or video clip tasks; grammar worksheets and activities; quizzes, games and pdf. file homework tasks. Our lessons will be tailored to your needs and wishes and you will receive regular feedback and opportunities to request your preferred topics or style of learning :-)

I take into account the learning styles, personality and interests of each individual student, to ensure that you are engaged in the lesson, improving rapidly and above all, enjoying learning!

Availability: I`m available for either online or face-to-face tutoring in your home weekdays after school, and some weekend mornings/afternoons too.

Experience: My experience working with young children spans 10 years, including teaching the EYFS, National Curriculum, as well as English language teaching for speakers of other languages.

I have taught Reception, Nursery and Year 2 over the past 10 years, at settings such as UK Primary Schools; International Schools abroad, and also tutoring online.

I have a lot of experience teaching EAL (English as an Additional Language) and I am confident to teach all levels of student from complete beginners to advanced.

I have experience teaching children, teens and also adults online, so if you also want to practise your English, we can have fun lessons for adults too! We can work on conversation, idioms, grammar, pronunciation etc. or whatever topic you need help with.
