I am a very experienced English Teacher of over 17 years. I am formerly Head of English at two well respected schools in Hertfordshire. I am currently a Senior Teacher in charge of curriculum at my current school. Every student has very different needs and this is reflected in my approach to tutoring. Very rarely, if at all, do students require work on every element of their English studies. Therefore, I take a very focused approach having clearly identified the needs of each student. I take on no more than three students for private tutoring per term, allowing for a thorough and personalised service.

Availability: I am available weekdays evenings for A level and GCSE English. I can also offer Media or Film Studies if required. I may be available some weekends and can provide extended provision in the school holidays.

Willing to travel: 12 miles

Experience: I have taught English across the 11 - 18 range and across all ability levels. I possess a clear, detailed and current knowledge of GCSE and A level specifications and assessment demands. I have been an examiner for both WJEC and AQA exam boards and therefore have an excellent understanding of the requirements and challenges the new specifications will present to students.
