Information about Kate

I am a passionate and enthusiastic primary school teacher, available for personalised 1:1 tutoring to provide support in all subjects of the primary National Curriculum. I can offer online tutoring via Zoom, or in-person tutoring in South London. I can help children in any areas of their learning that they are currently struggling with, or topics that they wish to explore further.

I think tutoring provides an exciting opportunity for learners and teachers to work closely together, exploring new ideas and skills, sparking learners` curiosity, and building confidence in their own abilities. I am passionate about the wellbeing of my students and believe that building positive relationships and providing a fun and safe learning environment is key to helping students learn and explore.

Outside of teaching, I love going on adventures in my camper van, swimming in the sea, and reading. My favourite books are the Harry Potter series. I have read them so many times and they never get boring!

Availability: I am available during the UK school days, which means I am a great option for homeschooled students in the UK or international students in a different time zone.

Willing to travel: 1 miles

Experience: I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with over eleven years of experience teaching in primary schools in the UK, Cambodia, and Egypt. I have been a class teacher in Year 3, 4, and 5 and have led intervention groups in phonics, reading, writing, and maths across all year groups. I have an excellent knowledge of the British National Curriculum and International Primary Curriculum and the age-related standards for each year group.

Head of Year 3

Kate had a great bond with my daughters which was reflected in their enjoyment of the classes and also the impact on the English work at school. It is a shame we had pause for now having changed schools making the timings of the classes difficult.
