I have previously worked as a teaching assistant in a school environment, for 4 years, I have an undergrad in English lit with politics and a masters in creative writing.

My aim is to establish an effective teaching method that benefits your child. I strongly believe some individuals learn through listening, others through visual - videos etc and some via verbal communication. It is important to me, to find the right method that suits your child, to enable us to achieve our goals together quickly and efficiently.

I want to offer guidance, support and ultimately give him/her confidence to ensure that they feel more than capable once they’ve overcome their struggles. Education can be scary, not understanding something is daunting and I am here to help and put these thoughts to bed to make school a more enjoyable place.

I am more than happy to help with a range of things; homework, grammar, comprehension to name a few. I believe nothing is impossible and I can’t wait to demonstrate this to your child.

I have worked closely with the following texts at gcse level; of mice and men, lord of the flies, Romeo and Juliet, taming of the shrew, Macbeth, inspector calls and an extensive array of poetry texts.

With my extensive experience in and outside of school environments, your child will be in capable hands and will begin showing improvements once lessons commence.

I love tutoring and watching progression, I give verbal feedback, written feedback and feedback over emails etc which is always positive as I am trying to build their confidence, not knock it. I give constructive criticism where necessary but, I always go through this with them in person.

Taking this into consideration, I firmly believe this is why my pupils excel in their studies.

Experience: I have GCSE English, I attained 5 Distinctions in English, History, Psychology, Politics and Sociology and I have a degree in English Literature with Politics. A postgrad in English literature with creative writing.

I am hoping to study my PCGE in the upcoming year, to become a fully qualified English teacher. Alongside this, I have 5 years experience as a private tutor and I have previously worked as support staff at a school in Newcastle, where I was assigned to students whom needed addition help and support throughout their academic studies.
