Information about Malvika

I am currently a medical student at Keele University with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from St. George`s University of London, which means I am always surrounded by the latest Biomedical and Medical discoveries. I previously studied in The Tiffin Girls` School (Kingston) where I did my GCSEs ( 10 A*s and 1 A) and A levels. This is a top grammar school for girls, and so I had to pass my 11+ to get in. I also completed my EPQ there, which I based on the process of Ageing. I have volunteered in various schools all over London consisting of primary schools, secondary schools and specialist schools (for Autistic children). Here, I developed an abundance of teaching methods and techniques. I am trained in First Aid by St John`s Ambulance, and so I am practised in making fast yet correct decisions under challenging situations.

I give Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths lessons to children up to A levels. A level and GCSE students have lessons consisting of consolidating knowledge and then practising exam-style questions. I understand the importance of following the particular specification and set regular homework in which both exam-style questions need to be answered and consolidation of what I taught in the lesson. I also offer pre-GCSE and pre-A level lessons as I believe the significant gap between the qualifications can be narrowed by focused learning and exposure to new topics.

I teach English and Drama for students up to GCSE level. These subjects require creative thinking which I encourage using various stimulus material. Grammar, punctuation and clarity are vital components for scoring highly in essays, and I help the student improve these skills throughout my time teaching them. I am a Jack Petchey Grade Finalist for London and so can provide excellent advice on speech writing.

I also do 11+ preparation. I, myself, went to the Tiffin Girls School, and my sister is currently studying in Henrietta Barnet (year 10). I tutored her for her 11+, and she scored highly in entrance exams in multiple grammar and private schools. I have various exam materials and can give all my students confidence so that they perform highly in their exams.

I believe in maintaining a professional, and long term relationship with all my students and so am happy to give advice even after my students are not studying with me.
