Information about Joseph

I recently finished as a Year 5 class teacher at the British College of Brazil in São Paulo, where I taught for two years. Prior to teaching in Brazil, I worked and trained to be a teacher at Knightsbridge School in London. Qualifying with a grade of Outstanding, I became familiar with initiatives such as Pie Corbett’s Talk for Writing and was able to further practise this approach as well as Maths Mastery whilst working in Brazil. Both of these initiatives I am fond of because of the equal opportunities they offer children.
Studying Italian at the University of Bristol, I have a love of languages and exploring different cultures. In São Paulo, I learned how to speak Portuguese through playing football with locals and I continue to have online lessons so I can eventually be fluent in the language.
Alongside my jobs, I am a keen writer. Whilst I have mostly written for online music magazines, interviewing and sharing stories about musicians who interest and inspire me, now I aim to write about a broad range of topics in more depth.
