Information about Michael

I am available to tutor GCSE Chemistry. I also will tutor A level AQA new specification. I am easy going but have high expectations of all my students. I endeavour to ensure pupils meet their optimum academic grade. I charge 30 pounds per one hour session for a single student basis.

Availability: As I am a full time teacher tutoring would be after school preferably at your home but am flexible. . Availability also at weekends.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: PhD from Cambridge University. 7 years postdoctoral research. Tought the Cambridge College Supervision system for ten years. Past university lecturer. Teaching chemistry in secondary school from 2000 to present. Presently Head of Chemistry.

Michael seems to have a good way of quickly working out the best tutoring style/delivery for an individual students needs and applying it to the lessons to get the best out of a student. Helping my daughter a lot with her Chemistry A level

We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found such n excellent chemistry tutor. His subject knowledge is outstanding but more impressive is how clued up he is on the new GCSE requirements. He has really helped my daughter grow in confidence as well as in subject knowledge. I can`t speak highly enough of him. Fantastic tutor!

Finding a tutor that your 15 year old son really likes makes all the difference.
Mike is very encouraging and this manner suits my quiet son who is gaining confidence and starting to feel comfortable asking questions about areas he doesn’t fully understand.
Mike clearly knows his subject and is able to answer these questions clearly and in a way that is easy to understand.
