Alumni of Leeds College of Music and the National Youth Music Theatre, Rachael has already begun to put her mark on the Leeds classical music scene.
Under the guidance of Tim Ochala-Greenough (Opera North, ENO), mezzo-soprano Rachael graduated in 2016 with a first class degree in singing. She was also the proud recipient of the Rotary Club of Leeds Cooke-Webster Prize. She has been an active performer both in Leeds College of Music and around the north of England, receiving the Margaret Markland 2015 Scholarship for the Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir, as well as taking part masterclasses given by Grammy award winning Soprano, Deborah York international soprano, Alison Pearce Paul Phoenix of The Kings Singers, and the acclaimed accompanist Chris Glynn. She has represented the conservatoire at prizewinner`s concerts, as well as the 50th Anniversary Gala Concert. Rachaels recent stage work includes a role in the critically acclaimed new musical Prodigy (Brunger and Cleary 2015) with the National Youth Music Theatre at the St James Theatre, London, and a lead role in the 2016 production of "Cinderella" with Northern Opera Group. Rachael enjoys experimenting with performance, exploring the use of comedy, video and dance.
