Information about Georgina
I am an experienced educator with over 18 years of teaching experience, having worked in secondary education since 2008. Throughout my career, I have held a range of leadership positions, including Head of Department, and I currently teach for a leading online school, delivering high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds across the world.
My academic qualifications reflect my passion for both education and psychology. I hold a degree in Psychology, a Master`s degree in Education, a Master`s degree in Forensic Psychology, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Secondary Religious Education. In addition, I have specialist training in supporting students with dyslexia and extensive experience working with children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs.
Alongside my classroom experience, I have a strong commitment to developing young people beyond academics. I served as a Cadet Officer with St John Ambulance for seven years, helping to develop leadership, confidence, teamwork, and first-aid skills in young people. I have also volunteered within the Scouting movement, supporting Beaver Scouts and contributing to community-based youth development.
Music and sport have also played an important role in my life. I hold Grade 8 Piano and have experience teaching music, helping students develop both technical skills and confidence in performance. As a keen sportswoman, I played football for Ascot Ladies and my university team and was selected to represent my university at the British Universities Games in 2004.
My diverse professional background enables me to connect with students from all walks of life, combining academic excellence with a genuine commitment to supporting personal growth, resilience, and achievement.

Experience: I am a highly experienced teacher, tutor, examiner, and educational leader with over 18 years of teaching experience and more than a decade of private tutoring. Since 2015, I have successfully tutored students ranging from primary school through to adult learners across a variety of subjects, with particular expertise in Psychology, Religious Education, and study skills.
Currently, I work as a full-time online teacher of Psychology and Religious Education. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am the Year 11 Psychology Course Writer, designing and developing curriculum content and resources to support student achievement. I also serve as the SEND Representative for the Psychology Department, where I advocate for students with additional needs and collaborate with colleagues to implement effective interventions, ensuring that all learners can access and succeed within the curriculum.
A key strength of my teaching is my ability to adapt lessons to the individual needs of each student. Whether working with high-achieving students aiming for top grades or those requiring additional support, I tailor my approach to maximise confidence, engagement, and progress. I believe strongly in building positive relationships with both students and parents and provide regular feedback and progress updates to ensure everyone is fully informed and involved in the learning journey.
My leadership experience includes three years as Head of Religious Education, during which I successfully transformed departmental outcomes, increasing GCSE pass rates from 35% A*C to 77% A*C. Prior to this, I served as Head of PSHE and spent eight years as Second in Department within an outstanding school. Throughout my career, my teaching has consistently been recognised as outstanding, and I have achieved exceptional examination outcomes, including cohorts attaining 100% A*B at GCSE.
As an experienced examiner, I have marked GCSE Religious Education examinations for both AQA and Edexcel and currently mark Cambridge International Psychology examinations. This examiner experience provides me with an in-depth understanding of assessment objectives, mark schemes, common student misconceptions, and the precise techniques required to access the highest marks. I use this expertise to help students develop effective exam strategies and maximise their performance in assessments.
Alongside my academic teaching, I am also an accomplished musician, holding Grade 8 Piano and having taught piano students of varying ages and abilities. I am proud to have maintained a 100% success rate in music examinations, with all of my students achieving Merit or Distinction grades.
My commitment to excellence extends beyond my own teaching. In 2025, one of my Psychology students achieved 100% in an examination paper and received recognition from the examination boardan exceptional accomplishment achieved by only a very small number of students worldwide.
With extensive classroom experience, leadership expertise, specialist SEND knowledge, examiner insight, and a proven track record of outstanding results, I am passionate about helping every student realise their full potential, develop confidence in their abilities, and achieve academic success.
