I tutor maths and sciences at GCSE and KS3 and have experience tutoring the new 9-1 syllabuses. 100% of my pupils achieved grade 6 or above in the new 9-1 maths in the 1st cohort and one pupil achieved a grade 9. I also offer tutoring in adult basic numeracy skills, re-sit GCSE maths, maths for A level sciences and maths for Open University level 1 maths and science courses. I`m also able to provide tutoring to bridge the gap between GCSE and A level sciences and maths.

Being patient and friendly, as well as committed to my students` success, I aim to build confidence and enjoyment in the subjects I teach, to prepare students for examinations, as well as building essential skills for the future. I have a positive approach and encourage pupils to work hard to achieve their best.

Experience: Presently, I run my own tutoring business in Bolton. I have a degree in physics and also education at university level in mathematics and natural sciences (biology, chemistry, astronomy, geology). My interests include medical physics and neuroscience: As part of my physics degree, I completed theoretical research on measurement of electrical currents in the brain.

I have experience tutoring the most able students, as well as those with special needs. My exam pass rate is high with most students achieving grades B to A*. 100% of my first cohort of pupils taking the new 9-1 maths achieved grade 6 or above, with one achieving a grade 9.
Presently, I have GCSE and A level students who attend Bolton School, Canon Slade, Westholme, Turton, Rivington and Blackrod, Bolton College and Bury College, as well as adult maths learners preparing for entry to nursing and teaching. I also tutor students studying for degrees, including Open University.
