Information about Alexandra
An arts practitioner with over 15 years teaching experience.
Subjects: drama, voice, English, creative writing, Lamda, 7+, 11+ and music.
Learning should be fun. It`s when you`re enjoying yourself that tutoring is most effective.
As each student learns a little differently I like to get to know you first and then we can work out together how to get the best results possible.
I gained my BA (hons) degree 2:1 in Drama Education from the Central School of Speech and Drama.
For those who may not be able to afford the standard rate I can sometimes offer a session for two - halving the cost per student. This would need discussing and agreeing in advance and would not apply to siblings/friends of different levels.
Availability: I currently have some availability for the new term.
N.B. Session times vary depending on travel requirements.
Willing to travel: 12 miles
Experience: I currently work freelance as a private tutor in London. Prior to that I was in Monaco and before that China, where I taught in various schools and for different organisations.
My experience extends to UK schools and I worked for two years for MyBnk as an educator, explaining how money and finance works to students aged 11-18+ in schools, PRUs and for care leavers.
I ran my own youth theatre for two and half years and have been an `artist in residence` (English, drama and music) and a freelance drama tutor for many years now. I am also a professional storyteller.

Feedback For Alexandra (5)
Alex has been tutoring my daughter for the last few months. She is very thorough, very engaging, very dedicated tutor. My daughter has been looking forward to her lessons (something quite unusual for her) and has been putting extra effort in preparing her tasks. Alex has also drama and theatre degree/ background which additionally contribute to make the lessons more interesting. We are very happy so far with the quality of the lessons and Alexs personal approach and positive attitude.
Alexandra has been teaching my daughter ks2 maths and English for a few weeks now. She seems friendly and fun and my daughter is enjoying the lessons. We have been using the books and games that Alexandra recommended and my daughters mental maths has already improved.
Alexandra is a very nice, well prepared tutor. Always answering my daughter`s questions, she`s giving her great support and boosting her confidence.
My daughter feels at ease and happy to learn more.
Alexandra is a very professional encouraging tutor, with a positive attitude and a open minded, attitude, I highly recommend her as a tutor
My daughter was looking for a tutor that would inspire her and make English, spelling and grammar, exciting! That is what we have found in Alex. She brings her creativity, drama and English skills together uniquely. Finding fun ways to help children learn! My daughter is excited ahead of the lessons and happy to do the follow-up work. Alex is also great at proactively communicating, giving us feedback on progress, reliable and very professional. Would highly recommend.
