Information about Katherine
I`m an Associate Professor in Public Health at a UK academic institution and was formerly an Academic Fellow. I specialise in addiction and public health research. I am also Senior Editor for the leading journal in the addiction research field. Prior to my current post, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the School of Public Health and Health Systems at The University of Waterloo (Canada). I completed my PhD in 2020 in Addiction Sciences at King`s College London specializing in e-cigarette and tobacco use.
I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, demonstrating my commitment to contining development in teaching practice.
I have a passion for statistics and can use programmes including SPSS, STATA and R. If anyone needs specific help regarding statistics at BSc or MSc level I would be more than happy to help. Please note that I do not tutor students at GCSE or A-Level.
Availability: Most evenings during the week and all hours at the weekend.

Experience: I have tutored over 25 students over the past five years - predominantly Undergraduate/Masters Psychology students although more recently I have also assisted PhD students with writing up their theses. I was also a Graduate Teaching Assistant at King`s College London on the MSc Introduction to Statistics module for three years, and was co-ordinator of the online faculty-wide Volunteer Electronic Helpdesk on Research Methods and Statistics.
I have also taught addictions research in schools as part of a scheme to deliver programmes of academic enrichment to school pupils.
BSc in Experimental Psychology from The University of Bristol - achieved 2:1.
MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences from University College London - achieved distinction.
PhD in Addiction Sciences from King`s College London - achieved pass without corrections.
