I believe that anyone can achieve their academic goals, no matter how ambitious, with a little hard work and self-belief. It is easy to feel overwhelmed at school by all the different subjects you have to try and master. My job as a tutor is to make learning seem much more fun and to, first and foremost, help young people to feel confident in their work and abilities and to give them the confidence and techniques to tackle new challenges or areas of a subject they don`t know so well.

Availability: I can do weekdays any time between 10am and 10pm.

Experience: I am a recent English graduate from the University of Leeds and, since graduating, I have worked as a tutor all over Birmingham with pupils aged between 6 and 60 years old. I have done a lot of 11+ tutoring to help those who are looking to take the exam, as well as teaching other primary school-aged children and helping them with the core subjects (English, Maths and Science).
I also have several pupils at Secondary School who I have helped prepare for GCSE and A-Level exams, all of whom have gone on to great success. I am happy to offer tutoring in any subject, and have a wealth of materials, from games to exercises to past papers, that can help students engage with their subjects and find more enjoyment in them. I also offer tutoring to those wishing to take the Oxbridge entrance exam for English (the ELAT) and have tutored pupils from all over the world who have gone on to huge success and write stunning essays on their ELAT papers. The beauty of having a tutor is that there is someone there who can tailor their teaching specifically to your needs and help break things down into little chunks in order to make those scarier Maths problems or Physics equations or English essays seem much more manageable - and even fun!
